Ask The Expert

The 'ask the expert' page has been created to offer some basic advice in relation to any new or ongoing aches and pains that you may have, provide self management strategies and basic exercises to help you carry on doing the things you enjoy.

When submitting your question either via the website or social media, please try to offer as much information as possible, such as:
  • Is this an old or new injury?
  • How did it happen / history of the injury? Has it happened before?
  • Pain? Symptoms such as pins and needles / numbness / giving way?
  • 24 hour pattern
  • Anything you do that makes things worse / better?
  • Other medical conditions?
  • The more information the better...
Once the question is answered, it will be posted onto this page along with some exercises and self management advice to help alleviate your symptoms.

Please note: 'Ask the expert' should not be seen as a replacement to a visit to the GP or physiotherapist in person. The aim of this website is to give you insight into your own symptoms, provide education and offer self management strategies. Should your symptoms not improve or become worse, then please consult your GP
